BIMBO DILDO.
Prototyping of penetration technologies.

Bimbo Dildo. Prototyping of penetration technologies (2022-2023) is my latest research on prototyping diy dildos. The concept references Paul B. Preciado's Countersexual Manifesto (2018) as it explores the idea of dildo from a poliedric perspective: taking into account all its symbolic, artistic, technological and sexo-political possibilities.

 

The project proposes an understanding of the hyperfeminine bimbo stereotype - gender performance as a penetration strategy (at first sight a contradictory comparison due to the strongly masculinised character that has been historically associated with the phallus), while bimbos subjects have demonstrated they have the power of transforming the subjectivity of those who interact with them and function as a clear example of body modification.

 

Starting from this abstract theoretical plane, the diy bimbo dildo is presented to the public as a symbolic operative object for pleasure and gender disruption.

This project continues to undergo extensive research in the context of the FOUNDING LAB program of Ars Electronica and I:TU, and it has been presented at the festival "Sexponential" at Arse Elektronika 2023 (Linz, Austria) and the PAM! '22 exhibition (Valencia, Spain) in all its mutating shapes and forms.
